You think you know me well

Contributed by fairyfloss on Thursday, 4th December 2003 @ 06:08:42 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I am your next neighbour
I am your dearest friend
The quiet girl in the corner
The loud boy on the field
You think you know me well
But.. i'm too scared to tell
I wear a mask to hide it all
fake a smile and force a laugh
When we say goodbye
That's when my pain starts
You think you know me well
But... i'm too scared to tell
Behind the door life is different
The roses arent red
Stale bread and mess all inside my head
You think you know me well
But.. i'm too scared to tell
Nightmares manipulating my dreams
Fear controlling my life
All looks perfect through the stained glass window
But that's what it is stained glass
Stained with blood, pain and anger
The glass drives me insane
You think you know me well
But.. i'm too scared to tell
Cries for a helping hand go unnoticed
Screams for help aren't heard
My pleas fall upon deaf ears
It is hard acting like someone else
Every living breathing moment
No one takes any notice
No one suspects a thing
You think you know me well
But.. i'm too scared to tell
Eventually you are told
Those were my final words
Things became too much
You thought you knew me well
But.. if only i was brave enough to tell
