Walking down this road
Where ever it goes
Taking this path
Following the flow
There’s one road ahead
No choice it seems
Hills to my north
Just following dreams
No step without purpose
The path is not clear
Thou the mountains are steep
No harm do I fear
My foot be not dashed
On any a stone
Your promise to me
My spirit You hone
Using each trial and task
To tear away the old
Making me new
Refining me like gold
A little at a time
I begin to shine
Taking on your image
I’m no longer mine

Short and Sweet, how I like 'em. To tell the truth, I was weary when I read the title of this poem. It seems a bit atheistic to one who has not read your poem. However, I can see its new (and better) meaning now that I read it. You also gave me an Idea for another poem. About how God's trials better us so that make our own heaven. |
