Do you remember how it felt
that night outside my car?
With rain pouring down
I held you in my arms.
It's that feeling that I miss,
before we ever shared a kiss.
When a touch meant so much more
as we both reach for the door
I gently grab your hand,
you quickly pull away.
You say that you should go
but inside I know you'll stay-
for what feels like forever
we play these little games
fueled by sparks of anticipation
inside each drop of rain.
Each touch now seems to linger,
each embrace a little longer.
Outside we're soaking wet,
but flames within are so much stronger.
I remember how it felt
that night outside my car.
It's that feeling that I miss
before we ever shared a kiss.
