Bury My Feelings

Contributed by stalkee on Wednesday, 3rd December 2003 @ 07:30:17 PM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

I seem the always pick the best times,
to say all the worst lines
Whenever I get to talk to you,
but it don't matter, you don't feel the way I do
I've spent too many nights,
just crying under the moonlight,
but no more am I going to go on with this lie

These were just fake sirens going off,
another case of me thinking I found love,
but I was wrong, so now I'll bury my feelings for you,
as you've buried the ones you used to feel for me too
There's going to be no more pretends,
it's all coming to an end,
and I'm glad that at least we will always be friends

It's finally ok to say,
I no longer dream the day away,
no more dreams about the love that won't come my way
And I think these feelings won't come back,
I've finally thrown them in the sack

I'm finally done with this game,
of saying your name,
all day in my mind,
and just wasting my time
'Cause what is it all for?
All it's done is make my heart sore,
so I'm glad that my feelings for you are no more
