Late at night in a darkened room

Candles glowing brightly
The moonlight glowing your skin
Sheets barring your body from view
A bitter reminder of restriction
So close... it'd be so easy
I can smell you from where I stand
Oh so sweet... inhaling hard
Etching your scent into my memory
Destined to watch you from afar
Just one touch... I'd give anything
A choked sob... you stir... no still asleep
Breathing a sigh of relief
My que to leave... until tomorrow
I'll be back... one last look, just one
The candles burning out
The moon surrending to the sun
Goodbye my love... for now
