Away, away you'll go away
All because I've gone astray
Everywhere in every way
I've deserted you.
I've neglected time that's ours
Forgone countless days and hours
Didn't even bring you flowers
I've forgotten you.
I can't really blame you,
I can't be upset
I understand why you wouldn't wear
Something old,
Something new,
Something borrowed,
Something blue.
I'm sorry that it's come to this,
But now I see you're all I'll miss,
I doubt you'll seal us with a kiss,
I just know I've lost you.
But you say to me, it'll be okay,
This will be like a dreamy day,
It doesn't matter this month of May.
I can't believe I'm hearing you.
I don't understand you,
Yet I know that I love you.
I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw you in
Something old,
Something new,
Something borrowed,
Something blue.
