Soldiers Remorse

The roses lay dead
by your bed.
All little soldiers do die.
They all told you
that the brightest flame
burns quickest.
Yet, still you went
to play that game.
Enemy of mine
shall die you shouted
at the sky.
Raised by misfortune
with tin soldiers
at your back.
All little children
marching off to die.
Dig your grave
don't looke for me
you lost my hand
when you let go.
Late at night
you dream of us
as you run from us.
Prison scrawlings
in your mind
but still you turned
from her.
Never know just what
you meant
or what you've done.
Never made those momments
last never had a chance
to say or do
just what you both needed.
The book of the damned spirit.
