Bitter Sweet Mirage

My heart burns with sorrow...
Choked with emotions,
The fallen angel cries tears of blood,
Crying from eyes that speak tragedy...
Adorned in torn flesh, filled by a ripped soul,
Choked with tainted hopes, and gashed by broken dreams...
A speck of sand, on the shores of hell....
I thought you saw me, but I guess you couldn’t, and never could.
It was just the sunlight playing a trick on me,
A bitter sweet mirage....
You seemed so beautiful, you lifted me so high...
Perhaps that’s why I fell so hard, in so many different ways....
Perhaps that's why I waited and prayed for that day....
But I was wrong,
You’ve broken my song,
You were beautiful....
And weak.... You gave up so easy, why couldn’t I see?
I never could....
It was the sunlight playing a trick on me,
A bitter sweet mirage....

Neat write.Love the imagery.
