Portrayal of an innocent

Topic: psychoticpoems

how do the boundaries we create, untwine?
why is it that we are looked upon as guilty?
some are viewed as born leaders,
some are justified villains.
who is to be the true hero of our earth?
is it those that do good and right?
or of those who really try to find what good is?
when problems arise and we look for just,
whom do we turn too? who CAN we trust?
when our child needs a sitter,
can we trust ourselves in finding that right person?
are we truly able to trust ourselves?
look deep into your history. your past times.
do you see what i am saying now?
trust of one's self is selfish,
trusting of another shows courage, commitment.
caring and having faith in another is what they want,
for your true emotions then will speak loud.
sometimes you have to look deeper into the present,
so the future will not arise in such a hysteria.
you should be more careful of those you are skeptical of.
not all good things are as they seem.
just take a look. .

I loved this poem, maybe because I feel the same way you do on trusting those around me.As explained through your poem, many ppl criticise and don't understand when a person doesn't trust so easily.I can guarantee it kept me out of harm numerous times. It's a pity the world has come to this though, fearing the babysitter, your friends and neighbors, and sadly your own family. Thanks for the poem,it was very well written and I appreciated reading it.Good luck, keep posting,
PumpkinPie :)

So basically, it is as simple as the old adage, 'you can't judge a book by it's cover'? I have to agree with you on this point. Humans tend to judge only the outside and close their minds to looking deeper into what really matters. We are judgemental creatures sadly.
