The Bestest Friend I Will EVER Have

Contributed by MissLee on Tuesday, 2nd December 2003 @ 01:49:37 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Though you may be far away
You are in my mind and heart today
I am sorry for the other day
And hopefully in some way
I can make up for it with this today
Though the long road of life is a chore
And life can be a complete bore
I have many memories in store
That if some day I am all alone with out a friend any where
And in my head I might not be all there
I will always know there was one who cared
And a great friendship we shared
And the truth be told
His heart was made of the purest gold
He made me laugh and smile and sing
And though many years will pass I know I will remember everything
And if I am left alone in my last few years
I will not shed any tears
Because I will remember you
And everything you for me did do
And if I die with no one there with me
I know at the Pearly Gates YOU I will see
Because friendship is like a rose
And in the heart it deeply grows
And where it can go no one knows
Perhaps you and I can save the world some day
And if so people will look upon us in awe and say
" Over time it was grown,
To be the greatest friendship this world has ever known."

From "To Him" to "The Bestest Friend I Will EVER Have", hmmm, I think I can figure out what happened... oh well, even if the relationship is not possible, but the friendship is still good to keep.... a very nice poem you wrote, I like it alot, and I hope the friendship last as well.....

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
