COME WITH ME
Come away and take a long journey with me
Come with me there things that you need to see
We can leave anytime you wish of the day or night
No matter where we go, together we will be all right
Just know that this journey may not always be a dream
Sometimes well even fight and yell, cry and even scream
We may sometimes feel that the other lost a thousand miles away
It’s these times when we need to rely on our love so we can find our way
As long as you are always are on this journey right here with me
I can’t imagine a better trip with both of us happy as we can be
The only thing to remember is there is only one rule on this ride
The rule of travel when we’re feeling bad we can never run and hide
I only want to take this trip with you and no one else but you
I just hope in my heart of hearts you want to be with me too
The place I have in mind for us is the future and don’t include the past
The destination I had in mind is a place we will feel happiness at last…

Now that is more like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Damn sight more realistic than all these "moon and june to a hollywood tune" we get too much of.
My wife and I are comming up to our 50 th wedding anniversary next Feb. and take my word, it's been a quite a journey. Would I change any of it, OF COURSE I WOULD, knowing what I know now but I wouldn' change her for anyone.
Good poem. One of the best of it's type!
