Her eyes bespoke revenge
As he threw her almost lifeless body in a garbage bin
She knew she had to fight
For if not she'd never get through the night
It seemed so long as hours passed
She dreamed of her life and the days that passed
Could she ever make it out?
Can she find hope in her mindless doubt?
Finally the lid is gone
He comes to her in a strange new song
But can she trust
Is it love or just plain lust?

This starts out tragic, and then at the end there's hope. That's what I like about this poem. But then, does she want to accept the hope that she's given? That's kind of how I percieve Christianity.... in a way, I see humans as this woman in the poem, and God as the hope..... But then again, that's not what you were getting at, right? =) I get your point aside from that previous rant just there---- it's not a God-man comparison. But it just made me think of that..... don't know why..... and yeah, the whole "is it love or just plain lust" line throws off that comparison......
Oh, I'll just shut up now.... ; )
that was a great poem (despite my off track analysis...lol)
God bless,
