"August In December"
I just did the sun a favor
When I told you goodnight
And was left with an empty chamber in my hand
You used to choke on your pride
But now you're left swallowing bullets
The most depressing place to be was Christmas
and the calendar reads the 25th of December
You never understood the way I celebrated
Or the way I put emphasis on the wrong days
It makes me sick how you thought you were superior
Even though it was true....
But I ended your superiority today with a finger's twitching
And we had it all, until tonight
Our romance is bleeding on the living room floor
I see myself in the TV and wish I had another bullet
to fire at the reflection, but I've wasted them all on my past and us.
It's kind of ironic that I killed my past tonight, because my future
seems pretty dead now, as well.
I never wanted to be alone again, but I just ruined my only
hope of having something to live for.

the pain is there......so evident....the wish to be in that reality is still you reality and i'm sorry you had to feel the kind of betrayal that would execute the story.... |
