Anger Reflex

Contributed by Vitreous_Soul on Monday, 1st December 2003 @ 07:18:03 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Illusions of sanity
Hideous mask to hide the vanity
Beautiful drapes of silk
To cover the windows encrusted with filth
Upon the grave a woven wreath
A thin line between the death beneath
Rage left outside
Obscures what we all must hide

Try to look past the veneer
Nothing is more transparent than sincere
Go deep beneath fair skin
Be reviled by what lies within
Trust not what's seen with naked eyes
Can't see the emptiness behind blue skies
Love and caring seldom come free
While anger holds absolute purity

Knowing for certain everyone's a liar
Like heated mercury I rise ever higher
When love had given me a taste
No more than Jezebel with her bodice unlaced
Cry when I lose and harder when I win
Release tears of rage when this void begins
A bullet inside me bouncing painfully around
Onto who or what will it's malice rebound

Where is this release, this exit I seek
From where does it emanate, this fog that makes me weak

Oh VS,
You've gone beyond even BRAVO! BRAVO roses at your feet.
This is one of the best poem I will ever meet!
Fantastically written, but not so we cannot understand...there are times when rage belongs in our hand! Toss it well, against the wall, let it fall deep inside...bullet proof!
If you have to stand on your roof....shout it to everyone.....you'll be amazed at the fun! And afterwards.....when your self-esteem has limped back...you'll be so healthy.....no one will ever successfully get another whack!
Great, Tremendously Great and a couple more Greats to you....you wonderful poet you!
