You said my name and I could barely breathe,
and then you kissed my cheek
and my heart skipped a beat.
Then when you held my hand
I couldn't feel the ground below my feet.
You played me that song on your guitar,
and every ounce of respect I had
I lost in one thought.
I got lost in your eyes,
the moment you looked in my direction.
And when I sat in your car,
with my feet on the dash...
there wasn't a care in the world, besides you.
We laid underneath the stars all night,
and you said that you wanted to know
everything about me.
I gave you a weak smile and said...
"you have all night?"
And then there was that night
we danced in the rain,
and you twirled me around and I fell more in love.
And one night as we leaned in too kiss goodnight,
you took my face in your hands and softly whispered,
"I was born to love you."
And then ever so gently kissed my lips with yours.
As you walked away I wiped away a tear
and called after you,
"The stars and the moon do they ever collide?"
You laughed and smiled and said...
"Only when two people fall in love."
As you walked away I glanced up at the sky,
I saw the moon and a star collide with each other.
I smiled and left without another word.
