Fall 2 Society

Contributed by PunkD on Sunday, 30th November 2003 @ 08:01:01 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Taught to follow your dreams
Raised to fight for your beliefs
I ran into the exceptions of the rules.

Follow your dreams only if others believe in them
Fight for your beliefs only if society is willing to
accept them
And do what you heart wants only if it doesn't
interfere with anything else

I gave up and never went after what I wanted

I lost a great deal to this
I lost my heart to the devils
My mind to the stereotyped
And my sole to the ghost of the past

My life goes on everyday
Nothing slows down to wait for me to catch up
And no one's gonna notice when my world seems to fall
apart

Go after what you want
Take and leave some for the next person
And when you see someone fall be there to pick 'em up

Or like me you'll always feel your missing out on
something....
and believe me you are
IT'S LIFE AS IT SHOULD BE.
