Suicidal Innocense

Contributed by Asatru on Sunday, 30th November 2003 @ 01:28:20 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

This demented innocense gone wild,
Runnin with a passion,
Away from it all,
This lack of suicidal ignorance,
Dissapeared in a moment,
Fading with a cut,
A slice,
A noose and a kick,
Or a click and a bang,
Is it still arsen,
If you use a bomb,
To blow up a school,
Full of none of the once were,
Once innocent,
Lost in the lack there of,
Kindergarden is gone,
No more fingerpainting,
No more costumes for candy,
No more cupcakes or cookies,
Or even the traditional cake,
For your five tears of innocense,
Innocense lost at a word,
Or a touch,
Maybe just a whisper,
You weren't suppossed to have,
Why would it be yelled at you,
It isn't your fault that you have paint,
With no paper,
And only a wall,
Innocense lost on accident,
Mistaken identity,
You must live,
The rest of your life,
Tearing the wall,
Down, Down, Down,
By singles lost at a time,
Brick, Brick, Brick,
Innocense lost at a year,
Word by word screamed,
Wall tearing down,
Faster and faster and faster and faster and faster and faster and,
Day by day passed on,
Loss of a nothing,
But one thing,
That you'll never get back,
Remaining undone,
Hiding the key,
That fit a broken lock,
Been gone way too long,
Before existance,
Time held on,
Flowing without you,
Without your innocense,
And now it's once more gone,
Becoming a parental issue,
A choke on a puff,
Gag on a swallow,
Living live,
While in the deep end,
But can you swim it,
Shark infestion,
Raging full of boiling,
A cough like a fathers,
But he's dead now,
The cough killed him,
So where's the innocense,
Gone to now?
The place of no love,
Just want,
A place full of emptiness,
Just a deep,
Dark hole,
To get you down,
Swallow, Swallow, Swallow,
With an eventual lack,
Of life wanting innocense,
Nothings left,
But the suicidal ignorance,
That once was,
Gone now,
Far, Far, Far,
Now out of site,
For me,
Can you see yours,
Will you run after it,
Run after it,
Or just let it,
Stumble off and away,
From you now,
Gone with a boom,
All from a bomb,
Disappearing in an intake,
Of that one last breath,
Given to your shallow self,
Never sharing,
We all want back,
Our suicidal ignorance,
And our,
Life wanting innocense,
We've all watched ours,
Pushed down the hill,
Of what we all,
Know best of ourselves,
A map into our hearts,
Of that rugged nothingness,
Lost in a matrix,
Of on-going numbers,
One by One by One by One by One by One by One by One by,
What's your number,
Going to be to you,
Will you remain that,
Single little one,
What's assigned to you,
To be lost in a crowd,
From someone who is,
Never even given you,
One second glance,
But do you cherish,
That first and only one,
When there was still,
That suicidal innocense...

Asatru, this is a marvelous poem indeed!
I was intriqued to the very end.
I truly believe that one of the reasons young people today commit suicide is because they imagined life would be easy! Life hard, very very hard, and once you accept that...then you can be responsible and still have lots fun. I thought this poem was excellent!
And since you're new here and I haven't found you yet.
Welcome to YPDC........and thank you so much for the nice comment on my poem Love is Blind.......
Poetic hugs
