Outline

Contributed by sindi-selde on Saturday, 29th November 2003 @ 03:57:35 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

You used to run and laugh and love and care.

You are nothing but an outline now.

A hollow voice,

An edge of despair.

You are nothing but an outline now.

We reach our hands out to hug,

You break them with your callus words.

You are nothing but an outline now.

You live your world in black and black.

You only have one crayon.

You are nothing but an outline now.

Ah, but you dream in color.

Reds and yellows and greens and blues,

So vivid that they hurt.

You are nothing but an outline now.

You are nothing but an outline now.

You are nothing but an outline now.

You are nothing but an outline now.

I loved this poem. If I had a guitar (and could play) it would make for a great song.

Well done!

Kie

Whoa, I really like this.

Definitely one of your better ones.

I like the repetition.

I like it all.

Wow, very nice. Yeah, the repetition definitely makes an impact.
