forgive me

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

to hurt again is one thing
to love again is another
both of which i try not to do

i wanted to change that night
i wanted to try
but it all fell into place too easily

my life has been a burden
with little boys full of dreams, full of lies
every single one
presented himself to me
offering his love
like an offering to the gods

my pain they cared not for
they only chose my passion
my love soon went away
please try to understand
i am not trying to play around
please try to see through my eyes
look to what i had not found

they all had loved me,
their lips told me so
they all begged for me
wanted not to let go

(2 turned to suicide
1 turned to rape
3 turned to a hospital
for the mentally insane)

i have been but a child
in the midst of this love
i have seen all my sufferings
through my razors and my blood
you came along that night
and i saw in you
my abandoned heart
and you scared the hell out of me

and i try to tell you, but i could not raise my gaze
i felt ashamed of my past and my lies all the same

i did not try to hurt you, or lead you on to nothing
i tried to keep myself alive
forgive me.
