Got No Reason

Contributed by EmSal on Friday, 28th November 2003 @ 10:42:05 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The eyes are a way to see into someone’s soul,
But these eyes, they only lead to a dark hole.
The mouth can speak words to hurt or to sooth,
But these words have bitterness and blame to prove.

Those hands are rough and those ears don’t hear.
You’re pulling me close, but your intention is unclear.
You once again wrote words that I did not want to read.
You pushed that knife further to make some more of me bleed.

You push me away and say that I am worthless,
That my life, that I, that those two things are a mess.
I needed a reason, I needed someone so that I may live,
But only reasons to die is what you and life to me give.

This life suffocates me and you’re encouraging me to die.
I hate everything about me, is the same old cry.
The nights are closing in and the days are running short,
I just wish that someone else for my life faught.

Oh what a tragic but beautifully written poem
Oh Emy you have so much to live for.
Whenever I start feeling blue....I say, "Just look around you!" There are so many people that truly need you! Volunteer to help a child read, or read stories at the library. Go to the hospital and just talk with the elderly, ask if there's anything you can do. Shopping, writing letters etc. There's a whole world out there that really needs you Emy...Go look and you will never again feel the way you do now!
Warm Hugs Help a soul in need, and you will never feel sad again. "Those that bring sunshine into the lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves!"

Disturbingly beautiful. You are not alone in feeling this way, be assured of that. Hopefully sharing this poem will help to take away some of the loneliness. Great write, regardless.

Excellent!! Portrayed your soul with such emotion.
Many things can take some of the blues away, just look around, look within!
Hope you are feeling better soon
