the unfair truth

Contributed by jkpunk13 on Friday, 28th November 2003 @ 06:31:57 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

amarillo texas december 12 1997
a kid named brain deneke was killed and sent to heven
brian didt whant to die it was a knowen fact
but he was killed by a 'jock' in a ruthless act

see he and his freinds where the 'punks' in town
and i guess the 'jocks' where tired of seeing them around
so the jocks started a fight
in the middle of a parking lot one night

out numbering the 'punks' three to one
they knew with the fight they would put on
theyd win for sure. no time for an diversionary attack
with punks on foot and them in a car this was the purfect pay back

for nothing they did. then dustin camp came along
in his full size 1980's cadillac with no sense of right from wrong
he hit one punk then ran over brian crushing hes body
they laughed and jeered as he layied thier bloody

brain dieded in the parking lot in the arms of his brother
he never got to say goodbye to his father or mother
camp was not found of murdered but of manslughter and
people came and said what a nice kid he was on the witness stand

and he walked away with PROBATION and it goes to show
it dose matter who you are not who you know
camp never saw a jail cell . he has never paid a dime
and they WAVED the 10,000 dollar fine

it was so unfair and the and no one but brain's family and freinds cared
but nothing you could do could ever repair
the saddness and unfairness these people shared
or untangle
but this poem is for brian the punk angle

What you had to say was not only pertinent, eye opening & blunt, it was also well said.

Thank-you for sharing it.

Wow, Thats a life changing to know that someone so crule could do that, just becaues they wanted to. To only get probation for taking anothers life is like saying its ok to do that. This poem took my breath away. But more importantly showed me agine how crule the world can be.
