Last Resort

Contributed by Ewin on Friday, 28th November 2003 @ 02:23:16 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

She sits and listens to the lecturing
it's like they're lecturing themselves
like they aren't talking to her
rather they are talk at her.
Yes she knows she's a disappointment
duh don't you think she already realized that?
She thinks and tries to figure out
how to change
but realizes there is no way
she can change
the only solution is sitting there in front of her
no,no rather there right there in her grasp
then she sits and thinks- "should I or can I change?"
but shes made her decision
and finally she feels that cool blade against her skin
feels the pain as it goes deeper and deeper
but the deeper it goes the better it feels
then it hits the vain and stops,
looks around
looks at the blood as it drips down her arm
she thinks- "oh what a beautiful thing it is"
then she looks around herself
looks at all the things she'll be leaving
then she looks in the mirror and she sees this girl
"it's not me" she says
her hair is messed up and in tangles
her pale, tear streaked face it no longer has a smile
"that's just not me" What she sees is ugly
then she realizes she wants to go back
but it's too late
and everything goes dark she's gone,
she's fallen
and something falls out of her hand
a photograph of the family
that she will never have again
now that she's taken away
everything she's ever known and loved.

This gave me shivers, this was so sad. Well written - so realistic...awfully sad. Take care.

Emma.
