blowfish

A tricky, messy aberration,
i like all that’s in you
but look at this unable nation,
a mound of lifeless sinew.
A parasitic muskrat kiss
upon you sacred cheek
will draw what cupid’s arrow missed,
the ichor of the weak.
To taste the flesh of those you love
is love’s most endless high,
and that sweet noise when I back off,
I love those endless sighs.
What do you know that has four arms,
four legs and even two heads?
I’ll give you a hint, it’s soft and it’s warm
and emotionally far from dead.
It’s happy, it’s kind, it’s blissful and blind
and about as well off as can be,
like penguins who swim with the cherubim
it the comfort of sub-arctic seas.
The blood that you drip from your succulent lip
will warm us until He returns,
like baptism in His most sacred spot.
We’ll quiver not when the sky burns.
I love you forever, I swear on your blood.
As mine slowly flows from my wrists,
we shall share forever our minds and our souls
forever is all we can wish.
I stand now with you ‘til the end of all time,
you perfect blue eyes fill my world
our fingers and toes feel so nice intertwined
and I’m glad that you could be my girl.
So here comes the part where we well up with tears
when relating everything we saw
we really are bound to each other forever,
don’t that just make you think “awww…”.

I really like this cept it's a tad bit confusing with one part. You speak of being with 'her' forever but yet you make a reference to suicide. Just confused me a lil. Still an awesome poem though. Great job!!

Sorry about the confusion... The part that talks about blood flowing from my wrists wasn't meant to symbolize suicide, but rather that he is sharing himself willingly with her. She is bleeding from her face (her cheek and her lips) which is what a guy looks at when he is that much in love with a girl. The blood vessels in the wrists are directly connected with the heart. The bleeding is like the guy literally giving his heart to his love. Since the two can't actually join their souls into one, their pooled their blood, which is the essence of life -- a complete sharing of themselves with each other. That's what i was talking about.
