Call me a fool,
Call me a genius,
Whatever you think is true,
That's what it must.
Existentialism: The choice.
Say that I'm nothing,
Say I'm unforgiven,
It doesn't even matter,
For we are all forsaken.
Atheism: The disbelief.
Voice that I'm an animal,
Voice I'll grow a brain someday,
Whatever I am isn't my fault,
We're getting smarter now anyway.
Evolutionism: The proven.
Tell me that I'm everything,
Tell me I'm forgiven,
Something better has to happen,
To a higher cause we must be driven.
Religion: The belief.
Maybe you're one thing,
Maybe you're not,
Maybe you'll live forever,
Maybe you'll rot.
Agnosticism: The doubt.

Evolution is proven? I thought it was still a theory... pish posh who cares. Deep attempt here.
I give this a 3.4 on the Nortiscale.

Norticus: The 'proven' thing was sarcasm. I don't think it's proven at all, but this poem is imagining these particular views. |
