Don't

Topic: MiscPoems

There’s no point in school,
There’s no point in life~
Not worth the effort,
Not worth the strife.

Some things have meaning~
Some things are clear.
Like, she’s my best friend,
Is it worth the cheer?

It’s not that I’m saying I hate her,
Or that I wish I’d die.
But where is our reason,
And please do not lie.

I don’t hate people!
I love my best friends!
But when they are mad,
I just don’t comprehend.

I’m not being dramatic.
This is really how I feel,
Writing this is helping~
I’m creating a shield.

If life really matters,
Then why are there drugs?...
Don’t look at me as if I’m stupid.
Don’t walk away with a shrug.

I need an answer
A riddle me this,
It’s not about math,
Or that history test...

I’m scaring myself,
I’m hurting my arm.
Crying too much~
While feeling alarmed.

Never mind the reasons,
Never mind the strife,
Forget about my questions,
Forget about my life.

I’m not gonna try...
I’m not gonna care...
What is the matter?
Don’t look at me and stare!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My questions unanswered, ~
My feelings still there, ~
I’ll just walk up and down
These boring and endless stairs!
~Melissa
welcome Melissa, this is an exceptional first poem I must say. Its good you can vent your feelings like this. You have made the first step, now be in charge of your own destiny. Dont be so harsh on yourself, life throws you many ups and downs, chalk them up to experience and learn from it. Friendships go through many phases remember.
Best wishes,
Penny.
Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
