Upon the Midnight Air

Topic: DreamsandWishes

Upon the midnight air,
Comes one so angle fair,
When I met him my life did start,
Because he opened the door to my heart,
Many a lock was laid on that blackened piece of coal,
But he made it golden, he made it whole,
But what is to be my fate?
Is it to love one who is "just a friend"?
When will these pangs and tears come to an end?
My love flows deeper than can be expressed,
And my whole being reflects,
A vision of love so deep,
That not even a thousand life times could keep,
Me from loving him,
It is he my heart has set out to win,
But when will come the day,
That "I love you" he to me will say?
For forever in my heart will stay,
That little shred of hope that may never see the light of day,
And though I weep at night,
My heart beats so fast when he is in sight,
I shall love him not only my whole life long,
But many life times strong,
Nay, Not even that will be,
For I will love him until the end of time; Because he is the only star I see,
In this deep chasm of black,
Where memories mixed with lonely tears come flooding back,
I pray in vain to the divine one up above,
In vain because HE cannot make him fall in love,
But, nevertheless, Stories shall be told of a girl who died,
Because she cried and cried,
Until her heart wept,
With that, from her body her soul left,
Because the tears formed an endless sea,
Filled with thoughts of him and me,
That were never to become or be.
