Religious sanctions are not mine to bear
For fate has derailed hope and left only despair
When buried in darkness and enveloped by dreams
You're blind to the truth but still dangling upon air
Surreptitious dreams are the sweetest of lies
A perfect aria to befuddle the eyes
The specious demeanor whose call is so dear
Enticing your hope and making truth seem unclear
For nothing is true and my life is all past
A moment to late, a second too fast
I thought I'd the world soon conquer and win
But now I'm a ruin of corruption and sin

this was beautiful I loved it its a tragedy that no one else commented on it. To bad the comments don't reflect the writers talent...

Wow.... Dude I sooo missed this poem. I wish I hadn't. This was amazingly good. I didn't find anything wrong with a single line. It worked very well. |
