Leave me the h*ll alone!

Please understand I don’t need you
I don’t need your friendship or pity
I don’t want your help or comments
I only wish to be left all alone
Can’t you see this?

I wish for death to come knocking on my door
I dream of suicide every dark and lonely night
I caress the gun I keep by my side
Fully loaded I leave it
Soon I will take the safety off

I have nothing to gain by staying here
I can only cause everyone more pain
Why should I even try to go on
Nothing has come of my pathetic life so far
I just want this to end

Don’t say you understand for you can’t
You are not me, you know not what I feel
You might have similar thoughts of suicide
But you cannot tell me how to live my life
Only I can decide to live or die

You say don’t do this, don’t take your life
Why, do you really care?
How long will it take you to forget I was even here?
You don’t know me, you only read what I show you
And even then I’m misunderstood

Don’t preach to me about God and life
I don’t believe and don’t care anyway
I will die soon enough as it is
Than if your words are true
The devil will be there to greet me

So understand what I say right now
Stay out of my life, it is of no concern to you
What I choose to do today or tomorrow
Is my decision alone, you will not be there
So please leave me the h*ll alone!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
