Why do people place blame,
Turn their backs,
And do the same?
To hide their own shame?
Not I.
It is easier to hide,
That confront what’s on your mind.
But I choose,
To guide myself through,
Even if I lose.
I will stand beside the willows,
And weep with them a song.
Anything, but not to prolong,
What I know will near.
Fear.
Fear and hurt, and maybe I will see,
Who I am,
Accidentally.
In a dance I glance and see my chance,
To leap and defeat,
To fight and to lance.
I see and conquer my bitter half,
To free a laugh.
Then maybe I will see,
Who I am,
Accidentally.
