Lost Love
My emotions like an ocean tide
tear away strong foundations built inside.
Leaving my heart exposed before him
looking towards a future so grim.
Bottled up love finally set free
right at the moment he's leaving me
Regrets lay heavily upon my mind
remembering him so true and kind
Lost time never to be retrieved
all this time I never believed.
I'll remember him as the truest of friends
wishing love and happieness that never
ends

New happieness being found,still though these words I recall.After so many years, to know them in their all.Amazes even I who swore, to remember forever more.
So I offer them to the world as she who wrote them offered them to me, willingly and somehow hoping that they will be returned to her, and that they may inspire others as they have haunted and inspired me so often.
