THEY SAY THAT IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE,
YOU SHOULD SET THEM FREE.
AND IF THEY RETURN TO YOU,
THEN IT WAS MEANT TO BE.
IT’S BEEN ALMOST SIX MONTHS,
SINCE I LET YOU GO
LITTLE DID I KNOW,
HOW MY HEART WOULD MISS YOU SO.
I WAKE UP EVERY NIGHT,
YELLING OUT YOUR NAME.’
NO MATTER HOW I TRY,
IT AFFECTS ME JUST THE SAME.
I REGRET EVER LETTING GO,
NOT TRYING TO HANG ON.
I GUESS I’LL LIVE FOREVER,
WITH THIS SELF-INFLICTED HARM.
