An Eye for an Eye

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

They looked into my eyes,
Everybody told me lies.
What’s a girl to do,
When her family is untrue?
When there is no basis of truth,
A lie will hide the pain,
And dull the sharpness of reality.
But soon you’ll see there is no true in life,
We live one great big lie,
And there is no wall to hide behind.
Every wall, every safe space,
Will crumble and lies are seen,
Underneath covered in dust,
From what you thought you could trust.
But oops, no you can’t, nothing is that easy, is it?
You should know,
You were the one who began to show,
But uh-oh, now I remember you only began,
You didnt succeed or try to exceed,
What your limits were set as,
You had dreams, you told me you could do it all,
Be on top of the world,
But now I see it was lie, another to me.
For reasons not yet defined,
You perpetrated my mind,
What for? We dont know...
Fun, a game, a trick to blame?
It doesn’t even matter anymore,
‘Cause I left that time, that mind, that bore.
My common knowledge shows me now,
What I knew all along, but I never allowed.
In the eyes tranquility lies,
A truth I told myself one day,
To discover another lie...a lie to myself?
No way, but yes...I thought I understood,
But I was forever hiding beneath the hood.
Your eyes can lie but seem so true,
When I stare into your depths I see nothing new.
The suddle stunning effects defies, more lies,
Untrue to a lie, you promised to disguise.
Hideous isn’t it?

An eye for an eye,
A lie for a lie...

Makes me laugh to think I could have believed,
What you decieved,
Told me all lies.
Your breath reaks a sty,
With the lie you care to defy.
And the truth it burns, stings, hurts.
A solemn truth be known,
But seen only in a meer reflection,
A shadow, of past time.
I demand a lie to be a crime,
To keep up with the minds truth,
And real is what we should seal.
But we only keep fear and lest it be a tear,
When the paper beneath your eyes is wet,
And the only thing you can see is sweat.

Because an eye for an eye,
A lie for a lie.

You got your wish, you played your dish,
It’s my turn now to turn these tables.
See whos up to bat now,
A loss, gained through interference,
Unintentional it’s true,
Not even meant for you.
But you interfere and see the clear,
The vision, the truth and its shocking isn’t it?
A new thing to know,
A valid ID to blow.
Whatever your reasons,
Never will you be seen in my scene as clean.
Clear images befall before your mind can grasp the meaning,
Of us sweaning.
Maybe you thought your belated truth was cleansing,
But never will it be, your lies stick with me.
There’s nothing you can do to reverse your decieves,
Nothing to excuse truth theives.
A fear so feirce you pout a song,
Oh it’s been so long,
And now you grasp my leg and beg.
There is no reason for me to meet your glare,
Either way I look I see another one to flare.
Time has made me raw,
I wont accept another flaw.
Emotion that carries itself,
With the heartbeat of the ocean,
A deadly potion,
Beyond your mind,
It blows how much I deem my devotion,
To comeback, revenge, make you feel the singe.
‘Cause this feeling,
This never-ending pulse traveling through my bloodstream,
Makes no room for another scream.
I wont accept, wont regret
Whatever will happen if you seem to forget.
Because I told you, not once not twice,
I told you three times, maybe four,
Dont lie to me, I cant take anymore.
Told you what would happen,
Showed you how it has,
But you just kept pushing and look at where you land.
Do you like it? This new home your mind has settled in,
But your heart refuses?
Get used to it because the liar always loses.
A glance of a lifetime let free in the wind,
Never can you imagine a time when I would bend,
But for sky, not your lie, I might forfeit.
Don’t wanna’ deal with anymore of this *****.
So back up, make room, I’m coming through,
I’m gonna’ show you what it means to be a liar.
An eye for an eye,
A lie for a lie...
