My Heart; --- A Sunken Ship

Inside of me a great storm rages
My heart; --- a sunken ship
Water overfloweth from my eyes
And from within I cannot hide
My constant sorrow from humbled pride
Outside myself, I appear calm
Mere shadows disturbeth my presence
Yet a stranger, If wanted, could detect
Something has gone wrong
They see that sadness is my hidden escence
My world; --- a grim and fearful place
Shabby and frail from former mistakes
No loyal friend stood by my side
There is nowhere left for me to hide
Inside myself and from myself
Only lyeth misery and shame...
