Are you fighting terrorism?
Or creating terrorists?
Use more of your brain Mr Bush
And less of your fists
If you’re using only brawn
Another generation you will spawn
Using sheer power won’t win this fight
In guerrilla warfare they’ll USE your might
As your statue topples
In Trafalgar Square
Realise how much
you are hated there
And not by stereotypes
you might draw
But by Vets, children,
just people under law
Your arrogance has killed the feeling
We all felt on that September day
Your willingness to put us all at risk
has thrown that goodwill away
So if this is your effect
On the thinking people of this world
Just think what it is on the zealots
As your Neocon banner is unfurled
Are you fighting terrorism?
Or creating terrorists?
Use more of your brain Mr Bush

I totally agree with you on this. The neo-republican militant agenda is highly disturbing. It is interesting to note the terrorism double standard that America has bought. If America's doing it, we're protecting freedom, and if someone else is doing it, its terrorism. I am constantly criticized and derided because i don't buy into this new patriotism that is infecting our nation. Instead i refer to it as what it really is: nationalism. Looking back, it is disturbing to note the similarities in the public response to President Bush's war against terrorism and the new Homeland Security campaign as compared to the responses that the German people had to Hitler.
