The Poet's Poem

Contributed by norm on Friday, 21st November 2003 @ 11:40:45 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I wish that I could write a poem
The poets accepted as their own,
With words so fine, like bordeau wine,
That slakes the thirst for Byzantine.

Including all the world of prizes,
Including all the world's sunrises.
I poem somewhat like Kilmer's Trees,
A poem including birds and bees.

These wonders that you see about,
A babies cry, a mother's shout,
The animals all from Noah's Ark,
All the fish, the whale, the shark.

Motors, engines, electric items,
Radar, Sonar, electronic sightems
All inventions you can name,
Shows and plays, including Mame.

A topic be it handled gently,
Of sex and love, let there be plenty,
There's nothing real, that I forgot,
But if I have, it's surely rot.

It''s absolutely sickening
your Ideas are absurd
when I am sitting long long hours
and can't think of a word

Up you come with something new
a clever little ditty
I still have not the slightest clue
how you can be so witty

When I am feeling blue
I look for a poem written by you
For I know it will put an end
To sadness my friend

Great write

Norm this one is for you but also wiredbody
It's obvious he doesn't know you drink alottie
That's where you come up with all these different names of booze.
Always mentioned in your poems of wooze.
Now you tell me you are dizzy.
Well for heavens sakes why not stop the fixxy. You might be able to walk straight after that.
But I loved Mame, Norm she was the one
that inspired me from the start. She must have influenced you too...remember what she said. Life is banquet and most .........
are starving to death. you've never looked thin
to me, what was your remedy...?
Loved your poem!
