You keep saying, “I’m sorry”
But what exactly should that mean?
Will the words “I’m sorry”
Instantly replace my dream?
“I’m sorry” “I’m sorry”
Two words to make things right?
Well, all your “I’m sorry’s”
Are what keep me up at night
“I’m sorry I hurt you”
“I’m sorry I lied”
“I’m sorry I chose him”
“I’m sorry you cried”
“I’m sorry you wasted your time”
“I’m sorry I broke your heart”
“I’m sorry I can’t give us the chance”
“I’m sorry we have to part”
”I’m sorry I not in love”
“I’m sorry you can’t be my friend”
“I’m sorry you felt used”
“I’m sorry this is the end”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry”
It’s all you seem to say
You’re sorry, “I’m sorry”
Things ended up this way
I’m sorry, but “I’m sorry”
Doesn’t seem to work
I’m sorry, but “I’m sorry”
Just doesn’t ease the hurt
Should “I’m sorry” make it better?
Or does it make it worse?
And just like you, I’m sorry
For I have my rhyme to end this verse
