Night Before Christmas
It’s the night before Christmas,
And our hearts are aglow.
The snow is falling,
To the ground below.
The stockings are hung,
On the fireplace Manuel.
As we take in the beauty,
From the flicker of the candle.
The Christmas tree sparkles,
With an abundance of lights.
As the anticipation of the hours,
Takes us to new heights.
The sound of carolers,
Ring in the air.
The voices of angels,
They come to share.
My son’s eyes become heavy,
As the night slips away.
It’s time to tuck him into bed,
Before the arrival of Santa and his sleigh.
We share a kiss under the mistletoe,
It’s time to call it a night.
Mr. & Mrs. Clause creep up the stairs,
And turn off the lights.
