The Sword we Carry

Across the ages,
across all time
judged we are,
on what
we say in rhyme.
Just a word
to a friend or foe
can bring hurt
to those we don’t know.
Caring, deliberate
we must be
with all things written
for others to see.
You ask what point,
Am I heading toward?
Still, “The pen
is mightier
than the sword.”
