The second of four in the third of twelve I saw it at last
I now know what I've known along
A ghost of her dead soul in the hallway
My heart cries out through my hands onto paper
The beginning of my epiphany
Her hands were jaws of life --- I was crushed
Her legs were needles --- My worst fear
Her hips were pitch forks stabbing my eyes --- Met hers
She took what she could get
And they were laughing at the collapse of my soul
Forced fed rusted metal and broken glass
I swallow despite my dismay
That yellow sweatshirt makes me sick
My hate is a front
I sit there and wonder sometimes
If anyone ever found that rose
And if they picked it up
And if it made someone happy?
