The Bond

Topic: LovePoetry

The Bond

He saw her from a distance
One mid autumns day
From that moment on
His heart was swept away

The delicate curl of her hair
Complexion of her face
Inspired his very soul
Caused his heart to race

Instinctively he knew
This was the love he sought
Giving humble thanks to God
Back the tears he fought

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She saw him thru the window
That mid October day
And for a moment wavered
Should she welcome or run away
She had seen his heart
Thru the letters he had written
And it was his gentle heart
With which she was smitten
As she opened the door
At once she could see
This is the man
To fulfill her destiny
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tonight they walk together
The road of life in love
Guided by fate
And faith in God above

He has bonded them together
Until this life is done
Sending them on their journey
Molding them as one

A man and a woman
Now become husband and wife
Exploring happiness together
Every day of their life

Russ

Excellent Russ. I've always thought that about my wife. The first time I saw her, I knew I could never let her go. I realized, only much later, that it was God's pairing- Honestly.

PS If you havent read Wesley_Dale_Willis,
I recommend him. Great poet. Read: "wasps and bees, etc. - You'll see what I mean.
