Rules bend and rules break
There's only so much I can take
Before I make
A big mistake
Love is harder than you know
There's only so far I can go
Before I go
Insane.
For all her crazy truth and lies
There's something special in her eyes
That's saner than the world out there
Don't tell me that I shouldn't care
Before I try to run along
Before I know it, she'll be gone
Don't wait too long
Don't string along
It's almost more than I can take
This loving, wanting, is it fake?
Don't try to make
Me sane.
For all her crazy truth and lies
There's something special in her eyes
That's saner than the world out there
Don't tell me that I shouldn't care
For every step along this road
Is one more step that leads me home
I've tried to lie, I failed, who cares?
She's saner than the world out there
And every time she looks at me
Like I'm the only one she sees
It's better than the world out there
Don't tell me that I shouldn't care

To me this poem shows a man holding on and afraid that his world would colapse if he let go. Then again that's just my perception. Good poem! |

This isn't that... A more appropriate description would be a man holding to their beleif, or rather, love for their significant other, for true love conquers all. He loves her all he can, no matter what others think.
As far as i can tell, that's what it means. |
