If I could be anywhere
I chose to, right now,
I would be with you.
Predictions are another
Long winter ahead,
I will watch the forecasts
And wait it out,
Wondering, sometimes,
What it’s like, where you are,
How you are,
Do you ever feel lost,
For words, you know,
You made me happy,
Brought it out,
Living the life abundant,
Nothing to do
With the weather,
I’ve missed that.
It isn’t like I never lost
Before, those that were,
Ran their course, perhaps
Some left a mark,
More or less, but you,
I can’t reason it out,
Let it go, maybe
You meant more to me
Than anyone else,
Everything else,
It may be that simple.
Like refuge in an unlikely,
Uncharted place,
After hours, years,
Caught in the rain,
You were there.
