I wish I could remember
Every detail of every single day with you
Every word you said to me
But most of all the destinct way you made me feel
When nothing could get any better

If you only knew how much time I've spent
Trying so hard to remember how it really was
I'm slowly forgeting the best things I ever knew
The only thing that's still clear is the smell of your body
That was my favorite smell in the world

My hearts desire no longer bleeds in remorse
Don't mistake remorse for regrets
Regrets set you back
And who wants to go back no matter how good it was

Well said Zao. I like the wording.

Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
