If I had one prayer
It would be for God to take away the pain
It would be for God to let me be numb
Because I dont wanna feel
I dont want this pain to continue...
cutting through my heart...
playing with my emotions
When I talk to you
a thread of hope emerges
A surge of anxiousness shoots through me and a piece of life that I thought was lost forever is found
And if I had one prayer
It would be for God to erase you from my mind
Take the images and cast them as far as the east is to the west
because when I close my eyes youre there,
When I open them youre image lingers,
and its as if I can still taste your lips on mine
And if I had one prayer
it would be that God would set me free
From myself and everything you represent...
Even though you represent everything my life is worth and ever dream that I wanted to come true
So I would use this prayer to go back
I would change everything that happened
But most of all I would use this prayer to be someone else
That way...
I wouldnt know the pain or the struggle of trying to forget the best thing that ever happened to me
