Sinner’s road

Contributed by RebeccaBoucher on Monday, 17th November 2003 @ 08:52:06 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The dark clouds encircle my path
I walk alone tied down in reflection
The dead flowers by my feet, whose troubles must be worse than mine,
Caught my eye, I mused at this scene with great affection

Here the rain poured down I couldn’t hide away
The regret followed my every stride
Keeping up but never overtaking
Pacing silently at my side

The Sinner’s road was never sympathetic
To the vile
Breaking even the powerful down
But as the dead and defeated walk by they stop turn around and smile

Even these people need to love
Possessing hearts that belong to others
Not another soul may enter
Listen to their whispers my sisters my brothers

They were in the days when heaven was falling
Friends before us couldn’t see
To them the world was beautiful
To them the world was free

The Sinner’s road is full of danger
I still walk here today
The poisoned air fills my lungs
Only my mind can take me away.

I LOVE the Imagery in this there are some heavy sentiments in there but you managed to make it entertaning and not preachy you have some serious talent.

I'm blown away. Such intense imagery, I can see and feel every letter written. I want more!
