On a day that I was talking like a talk show guest
I saw something in sight that had put my mouth to rest
I had to blink for the picture was a sight for sore eyes
Man, I felt like I had opened up door #1 to receive my prize
Like the old pimps say, “it had the shape of a coke bottle”
I wish, so I could go over and take a swallow
For I had become thirsty like an African running a marathon
Just one sip, oh how that would be so much fun
So that I may take in all the ingredients that make her whole
For in my mind,at the time,it was her sliding down my pole
A shift to the left was just like a shift from the right
Whoa got me hold and squeezing my lil man oh so tight
For this motion picture I would pay $50 dollars to see
Because for about an hour,a nice sensation had come over me
This time around I didn’t even need “My Man” to make the picture clearer
For it was her that had me flexing in the mirror
I believe this picture had came on once before
For some reason today it had me feeling like and eagle wanting to soar
To where I really don’t care
Everything is cool as long as she is next to me in the air
I tried to move my lips to try to make a sound
A lip locked tight was all I found
This feeling is so powerful it’s like I have been hit my lightening
To the innocent eye this picture just might appear frightening
If a bolt of lighting is what it had to be
Bring on a hundred more as long as it continues on striking me
For I could take this kind of silence the rest of my life
Almost a silence that has you saying “ I do” to your wife
Yes, a silence as strong as superman
I’m not going anywhere; I forgot everything that I had planned
All I could do was sink my head down, for I was ashamed
I was frustrated that I couldn’t even speak out her name
One thing I can do as the day passes by
Is just think of that picture that I thought was fly
For it is buried deep into my head
Now if she could just move out of this room
So people won’t take my silence as me being dead

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
