Open Wounds

Contributed by zaowhvn on Sunday, 16th November 2003 @ 08:07:35 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

This is the end of a hundred beginnings

Time means nothing to me anymore
When did August come? Where did July go?

It's been so long since you reversed the rotation of my world
So why the pain is still strong?

Gone is my mind, I can't remember the last time I've slept
But when will I wake up?

Tonight there was a really bright star
In the darkest sky I've ever seen

This song plays at perfect timing when times aren't perfect

Does this mean there's still hope in darkness?

This is the beginning of a hundred endings

Scars don't hurt... they're just ugly

I still have open wounds

Awesome writing, bro. For what it's worth, I know what this dagger feels like. Poems like this are the only healthy way to release. Excellent work.

great. hears a line from a poem I once read. It's not one of mine but I think you might like.
' from open wounds ease refrain, until healing scars soothe the pain. Time has passed and done its part, but love still lingers with a broken heart.' I hate to post that without the authors name but I just can't remember it. anyway its true. Love will always linger , but unlike open wounds, scars only hurt from time to time. good luck
