I carried you up for air
My feet cemented in concrete blocks
And at times you carried me
Up the steepest hill against wind in the rain
In looking back I find myself
Looking forward to what will never become
Welcomed by sadness
I'm reunited with my insides lost long ago
Through hell and back together
We didn't get very far - but far apart
Now the dust from your path settles to mud
With tears fallen from my face
Bury me alive
As my dying wish to part at your feet
