Before the almighty falls

I’m calling out
Oh hard callous frightening world
Where I look down the signs flow over mountain over sky
Giving me what I want
Not one small smile to bring in day
The heavy laughter surrounding the order
Remorse drifting in the air
A fatal glimpse of what’s to be
Before the almighty falls
I can see death
I can see pain
I’m calling out
Distress follow my stride
Before the almighty falls
Take me away
Before the almighty falls

Very powerful poem. It can have so many different meanings in it as well... I almost take it as the end of the world, but that's just my twisted take on it :) Anyway, great write! |

I hear a need to feel safe with things promising stability and a fear of change. Also a feeling that Rebecca feels that she lacks the emotional skills of wgat she will face in the future. |
