A Moment in Time

Laying together, in bed last night
Flesh to flesh, eyes to eyes
Heartbeats racing, our lips tasting
Each other's glistening, as our temperatures rise
Embraced in warmth and tenderness
Creating memories, yours and mine
Tortured by wanting and anticipation
It's forthcoming, but only in due time
With a nibble and then a whisper
"I love you and I want you" into your ear
Brings a tightening of your arms around me
And a bright shine to your eyes, from tears
This very moment, in itself
To be cherished a lifetime, by me
You and I, joined together as one
No closer, could either of us be
As we intertwine with love and lust
The clock stops--minutes do not pass
Frozen in time, with glorious rapture
For us tonight, we'll make this last
